Marissa Halpert is an award-winning Front-End Software Developer living in Washington, DC. She is currently developing amazing user experiences as a Web Developer at ISL.
Marissa wrote her first line of code in high school and instantly fell in love with software development. She continued this passion at James Madison University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science in May of 2014. After college, she worked as a full-stack Software Developer at CarMax in Richmond, VA before moving to Washington, DC in January of 2017. Marissa is a huge advocate for computer science K-12 education and for closing the gender gap within the IT industry. Marissa is a National Winner of the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing.
